Tony Lonero and Paul Dougherty would like to announce the recipients of the 2022 Penn Hills Class of 1977 NON MOLLARE Scholarships! They are Rachael McCann and Lyric Carter! Both ladies are valedictorians of the Class of 2022 and they both overcame difficult obstacles during the 4 year high school careers! The other item that they both share is that they have that “NON MOLLARE” attitude! They just never give up! The entire Penn Hills Class of 1977, all 1,274 of us, congratulate you and wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors! Rachael McCann has the 2nd highest grade average of her graduating class. She was the captain of the Coding Team which won the PNC Bank “Code for Your Cause” competition. The team designed and created a wearable device that would warn the user if they were in danger of a panic attack or sensory overload. Rachael and the team took 1st Place overall. Rachael was also captain of the Penn Hills Women’s Soccer Team. She will be attending Vanderbilt University in the fall! NON MOLLARE Rachael
Congratulations to Lyric Carter for being awarded the Class of 1977 “NON MOLLARE” Scholarship! She will be one of the 14 valedictorians of her Penn Hills Class of 2022! Lyric was also one of the leads in the class musical this year! She will be attending Point Park University and majoring in several different fields! Congratulations Lyric!
